Acer A100 Retrofitted Protective Case
My New Tablet - Acer A100 Tab
I recently purchased the new Acer A100 tablet. After my purchase I found out that there is no case for the Acer A100. The Acer A100 is the new 7" tablet made by Acer. All of the case options I found were for the Acer A500, which is the 10" tablet by Acer.
I quickly put on my thinking cap and retrofitted a simple portfolio folder into a protective case for my Acer A100 tablet. The total cost for this DIY project = under $7.00.

How To Create Your Own Acer A100 Protective Case
Supply List

How To Create Your Own Acer A100 Protective Case
Once you have purchased the Markings Padfolio and the sticky back velcro tabs you are ready to begin.
First, remove the paper tablet from the padfolio. Next, open the velcro tabs. Put the fastener side of the velcro tabs on the four corners of the actual Acer A100 device. Put the other side of the fasteners inside the padfolio. See picture below.
Now that you have applied the velcro tabs to both the padfolio and the actual Acer A100 device simply attach the fasteners. The paper tablet that came with the padfolio is too large and won't allow the protective case to close.
I simply took a few sheets and inserted them on the other side of the padfolio. I also included a few of my business cards and a pen.
You have just retrofitted the Markings Leatherette Padfolio into your very own Acer A100 protective case.
