Eric Benet
Eric Benet is his real name. He was born in 1970 and raised in Milwaukee. In 1992, Eric and two of his siblings formed a group called the Benet and released an album. Eric has shared with his fans several early tragedies -- the death of his father, and his daughter's mother. In 1994, Eric returned to music and signed with Warner Bros. The rest is history.

Eric's first album was titled "True to Myself" which was released in 1996. Hit singles from the "True to Myself" album were -- Spiritual Thang and Let's stay together. Many of Eric's first songs were dedicated to Tami Marie Stauff, his daughter's mother. Did you know that singles from the "True To Myself" album appeared on the soundtrack for the hit film "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate" starring Martin Lawrence?
Benet's following album hit the streets in 1999, titled "A Day In The Life". "A Day In The Life" featured hit singles -- "Geory Porgy" with Faith Evans and "Spend My Life With You" with Tamia.
You might remember that Eric Benet was married to Halle Berry. Their marriage lasted for 5 years.
Did you know that Eric Benet has an unreleased album? The title of Eric's unreleased album is "Better & Better", which was created in 2001.
In 2005, Eric released another album titled "Hurricane" featuring the hit single "I Wanna Be Loved". Love & Life is Eric's fourth album and it was released in 2008.
