An Interview With John Legend

Another great star born in December.  John Stephens aka John Legend was born December 28, 1978.  This Grammy award winner is known for his soulful songs and piano playing, and songwriting.  Raised in Springfield, Ohio John first started playing the piano at age 4.  You could find John playing for the church choir.

John studied English at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) as we in Philly like to call it.  He major in African American Literature and started a jazz group call Counterparts. 

Do you know where John was at after college?  The answer -- John Legend worked for Boston Consulting Group as a consultant. 

John was introduced to Kayne West by a former roommate from Penn. Do you know what was the first John Legend /Kayne West collaboration?  The answer - College dropout.  The two went on working together and also created Legend's first debut album "Get Lifted".

• In a recent Dutch interview John Legend annouced a collaboration with Michael Jackson. Apparently, Legend has written a song for Michael Jackson up and coming album.
