Audi E Tron Electric Concept Car

The new Audi E-Tron Concept is the new Audi mid-engine car featured at Frankfurt SuperCar Auto Show 2009. What's special about the Audi E-Tron? The new Audi E-Tron Concept is basely an E-Tron R8 shorten by a few inches with no engine -- The engine is replaced with a lithium battery pack. The Audi E Tron lithium battery pack powers four electric engines. There is one electric engine in each corner.

The new Audi E-Tron Concept car is all electric with a new style.  Due to the needs of the lithium battery pack, a new style was necessary.  The lithium batteries require special cooling needs other than cooling needs of a traditional engine.  Therefore, there are many movable flaps and fins on the new Audi E-Tron designed for cooling.  These flaps and fins open in low speeds for cooling purposes and close in higher speeds to reduce drag. 

Audi will manufacture a limited number of Audi E Tron cars for the US.  What do you think about the new Audi E Tron Concept car?
