Doo-Wop Music Recording Stars of the 60's in Revue or Review
63Music of the 60's - Doo Wop
Star Revue or Review - That is the question Famous Doo Wop History Makers
Whether you like the word review or revue recording artists of the sixties deserve their spot in music history. I personally like the term "STAR REVUE" sounds fancy just like the famous artists like Ron Barrett, Henry Bellinger, Johnny Lageman, Fanita James, Merry Clayton, and a host of other Doo-Wop recording artists. They are the legends of Doo-Wop music.
Meadowlarks in the Star Revue Spolight
In 1954 the Meadowlark was formed by five teens attending Fremont High of East Los Angeles. The famous 60's recording group consist of Ron Barrett, Don Julian, Earl Jones, Randy and Billy P. (who was later replace with Glen Reagan). They created Doo-Wop for the history books with songs like Love Only You and Real Pretty Momma.

I've loved the music of the Meadowlarks a long time now, and being a New Yorker I didn't always get to hear every release. Had a real moment when after purchasing a copy of "The Jerk" by The Larks (i needed it for a dance I ran back then. I turned it over and what should I find? None other than the unmistakable sound of Don Julian, wow! CHECK OUT It's All About The Music, my hubs, and thanks for the info.
