Girl Scout Cookies Types

Girl Scout cookie season is underway. What is your favorite Girl Scout cookies type? I personally love the Samoas. With the arrival of the new Girl Scout cookie season is a new type of cookie. The Girl Scout’s new brand of cookie is called “Savannah Smiles”. The new Savannah Smiles cookies are little half moon shape powered sugar cookies with a lemon flavor.

This Girl Scout cookie season celebrates the 100^th year anniversary of the Girl Scout. The Girl Scouts began in Savannah Georgia in 1912 by Juilette Gordon. Juliette, as known as Daisy got together 18 girls and thus the Girl Scouts began. The name “Girl Scout” wasn’t used until 1915. Girl Scout cookie sales began 20 years after the Girl Scout were formed.

Thanks A Lot – The Thanks A Lot cookie is also a shortbread cookie but unlike the Lemonades, the Thanks A Lot cookie is backed with.

Trefoils – Trefoils cookies are shortbread cookies designed with the classic Girl Scout logo.

Shout Outs – Shout Outs cookies are crunchy with a designed inspired by Belgian style cookies.

The Shout Outs cookies replaced the Daisy Go Rounds in 2011.
