SEO Effortlessly
I’ve been writing hubs on Hubpages for over 3 years. In the beginning my hub strategy was “hit or miss”. Along the way I have learn about other hubbers strategies, especially SEO. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is an important element for doing well on any online writing platform.
Improving your SEO will almost ensure more search engine traffic. And we all know traffic, whether writing for fun or money, is what we all seek.
I’m a computer programming by trade. It suddenly occurred to me that I should create a tool to help me with my writing. I created the tool with Access because I am an ACCESS Guru. Here’s how it works:
Google Keyword Tool
The first thing to do is pick a broad keyword. Use the Google Keyword Tool “exact match” with your broad keyword and download the results. The program I have created will select the best keywords to use within your article.
From the illustration below I use SEO as the Broad Keyword. On the left are the results Google Keyword Tool provided. On the right are the best keywords to use within your article based on the following:
Selecting The Best Keywords
Selecting Good Keywords
Competition Indicator - Select a keyword with low competition (I usually select keywords with less than .39 in the competition column). Note: While inside the Google Keyword Tool the competition level is indicated by High, Medium, and Low. However, when you download the report the indicator is switch to a number value. The number (.39) indicates the keyword has a “low” to “medium-low” indicator.
Traffic Indicator – Select a keyword with high traffic. With respect to the competition, choose a keyword with high traffic but low competition. (I usually select keywords with more than 699 in the Local Search column). At 699 local searches per month you can expect 23 organic searches per day.
Writing the Best SEO Article
Now that you have the keywords to include in your article it’s time to write. SEO rules require you have the main keyword in the title of your article. In the illustration below my main keyword phrase is “Google Cloud Connect”. Notice that the indicator is green. The program has been designed to turn green when requirements are met.
Put Your Keyword In The Title
The Body of the Article
While you compose your article the program is counting how many times you have used the main keyword. Once you have used the keyword three times the BodyKey indicator will turn green.
Using The Main Keyword In The Body Of The Article
What Are LSI Keywords?
LSI Keywords
The keywords to the right of the body are known as LSI keywords. These keywords are secondary keywords. Once you have used the LSI keywords two times the indicator will turn green (for each word).
Using LSI Keywords In the Body of the Article
Other Features
Here are some other features I built into the program to help me write excellent articles.
- Word Count Indicator
- Spell Check
- Synonym Look-up
After I'm happy with the article I simply click publish. The article is then converted to an PDF. However I have the option to output in other formats like: MS Word, or Txt. Now I just need to copy and paste.

How To Get The Program
I haven't made the program for others to use (yet). If like the program, call me on Skype yvette_stokes.
I can customize the program to fit your SEO strategies at an affordable price.

I really like your technique using Access. I think any tools that can help track and analyze are certainly worth using. I have created a spreadsheet in excel that I use for topic ideas and keywords. However, I select keywords with high competition. This is my reasoning for doing so: The Google keyword tool is actually designed for people/businesses placing the ads. Words that are high competition cost the advertiser more, but for us that means the cost per click will be more since their is high competition among advertisers for those words. But, please correct me if I am mistaken.
