Hugo was first written as a book, titled “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” by Brian Selznick and then turned into a screenplay by John Logan. Brian Selznick is from New Jersey and was born in 1966. He is a popular children’s book illustrator as well as a writer. John Logan is from Chicago and was born in 1961. For over ten year Logan has been writing plays. His first screenplay picked up was called “Any Given Sunday”; a play turned into a motion picture.

ysdata: I finally got around to viewing "Hugo" and enjoyed it immensely. I was even compelled to write some commentary about it. I knew I would be late to the party so I took a somewhat different approach in sizing up the flick. But, in any case better late than never.
