I'M Off To Dorney Park

As a child, my parents took me and my siblings to Dorney Park each year.  It started when my mother's employer had their yearly "Family and Friend Day" at Dorney Park.  When we first started going to Dorney Park there was one ride and picnic tables.  Now, Dorney Park is one of the largest theme parks in Pennsylvania featuring Wildwater Kingdom.  Dorney Park is located in Allentown, PA at 3830 Dorney Park Road.  Dorney Park's normal operation hours are from 10 am to 10 pm.

In Wildwater Kingdom you will find Aqua Racer, Aquablast, Cascade, Island Water Works, Jumpin Jack Splash, and the Kids Cove along with many other water rides. 

Dorney Park is now celebrating 125 years.  General admission tickets cost approx. $36.99.  However they have special prices for Seniors and young children. 

Dorney Park was started by Solomon Dorney as a fishing hatchery in 1860.  In 1870, Solomon added games, and a playground so that his estate could attract visitors.  The estate was renamed "Dorney's Trout Ponds and Summer Resort" in 1884.  Solomon Dorney sold the resort to the Traction company in 1901.  From 1901 to present, Dorney Park has been added rides.  In 1985 Dorney Park introduced Wildwater Kingdom.
