Installing A Patio
64Installing a Concrete Patio - DIY
By far, this is the biggest adventure for Miss Fix it. Installing my back concrete patio was not an easy job, however I did complete it by myself.

Installing a Cement Patio - DIY
I first started out by measuring for my desired patio size. Once, I was happy wih 8x8 -- I made another trip to Lowes. Lowes must be happy to see me coming. Here's what I brought:
Cement
Cement Form
Stones
Sand
Tray (to mix the cement)
The entire project was less than $150 and my sweat.
Very important - Be sure to pitch the patio slighty away from the house (digging - 6 inches). You don't water standing on your patio. On to the cement and the cement form. I first mixed the cement in the tray. Each form took one bag of cement. Lay sand and began pouring the cement mixture into the form (one block at a time). It took about a week, but I got all 16 blocks in place. After drying, I sweap the blocks with sand.
The stones I purchase were used as a border. You can skip this part.
Remember -- Rate my space and be nice. This was hard.
