PA Energy Deregulation
Many customers don't know this yet, but you have a choice over your electric provider. These new electric companies are popping up and promising to save you money. Deregulation will eliminate price caps because of the new competition. If you are a PECO customer you can expect a 5% increased unless you switch. There are currently fifteen new electric suppliers that are now servicing PECO's 1.6 million customers at a discount.
If you switch your electric provider you will still get a PECO bill, you will still call PECO for repairs and service -- however your electricity will come from the electric company you switch too.
