My 2008 Halloween
Here's an idea for Halloween - Set up props around the house, bake some Halloween cookies, and invite friends to your Halloween scary movie party. For adults - add the spirits for some real fun.
Bread of the Dead
Quick Snack for Halloween -- Bread of the Dead
Here's a quick snack to eat while watching your favorite Halloween movie "Bread of the Dead".
Boil 1/4 cup of milk and remove from heat. Mix in 1/4 cup of margaine, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Dissolved 1 package of yeast in water and one egg yolk -- mix in to your milk mixture. Now add your flour (3 cups). Knead your mixture into dough. Let dough rise for 90 min.
Baking Instructions - Preheat oven to 350. Cut your dough into fourth. Take 3 of your fourths and roll into a 3 rope shape. Braid the 3 rope shapes together. With your remaining fourth create some other deadly shapes. Let rise for 30 min.
Topping - In another bowl mix 1/2 teaspoon of anise seeds, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 teaspoon of sugar. Take the egg white and brush the bread and topping with your topping mixture. Bake for 35 min.
Enjoy -- Bread of the Dead.
